What is a .BAND file?
A BAND file is a GarageBand music project. On macOS it is a package - a folder the Finder shows as a single item - holding the project data and its media. Created and opened by Apple GarageBand.

- Identify DAW project files and read what their formats will give up: FL Studio (FLP) has its event stream walked for the FL version, tempo, title, author, genre, comment, pattern and channel names, the plugins it loads and the samples it references - but not its clip positions, which live in data events whose layout varies between FL versions. - .BAND is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
