What is a .SXI file?
SXI is a StarOffice / early OpenOffice.org Impress presentation, the predecessor of the OpenDocument .odp slide format.

- SXI was part of the original OpenOffice.org XML family later standardised into OpenDocument, which is why it is a zipped bundle of XML.
- The sx formats - .sxi, .sxw and .sxc - were OpenOffice.org 1.x's native files before OpenDocument standardised the idea in 2005.
- An SXI is the direct ancestor of today's .odp, which is why both are ZIP packages of XML describing the slides.
