What is a .Sketch file?
A Sketch file is a UI-design document from the Mac app Sketch. Created and opened by Sketch.

- Sketch was released in 2010 and helped define the modern app-design workflow before Figma.
- Sketch is made by the Dutch firm Bohemian Coding, now Sketch B.V., and won an Apple Design Award in 2012.
- Since 2017 (Sketch 43) a .sketch file has been a ZIP archive of JSON describing the document, an open structure that let a whole ecosystem of plugins and developer-handoff tools read Sketch files directly.
