What is a .PLN file?
.PLN is a file in the 3D / CAD (more) category. Analyser identifies it and reads the metadata in its header, right in your browser.

- PLN is the native project file of Graphisoft ArchiCAD, holding the 3D building model from which plans, sections and views are generated.
- Unlike the self-contained .pla archive, a .pln links out to separate library files, so moving it without them can break placed objects.
- ArchiCAD pioneered the BIM idea of a single coordinated model, so editing a wall in the .pln updates every drawing that shows it.

- .PLN is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
