What is a .LZH file?
LZH is an archive from the LHarc/LHA tool, especially popular in Japan.

- LHA was a dominant archiver in 1990s Japan, used on the Amiga and PC.
- LHA was written by Haruyasu Yoshizaki, a Japanese medical doctor, and started life under the name LHarc.
- The format combines LZ77 matching with Huffman coding, and turned up in the installers for id Software games like Doom and Quake.
