What is a .JS file?
JavaScript (JS) is the programming language of the web.

- JavaScript was first codenamed “Mocha”, then briefly “LiveScript”, before its final name was announced with Sun Microsystems.
- The name was largely marketing: it rode on Java’s popularity even though the two languages are quite different.
