What is a .VDA file?
VDA is a Truevision raster image - a TGA-format picture named after the Truevision Video Display Adapter board.

- Like .icb and .vst, the .vda extension is just a TGA file named after one of Truevision’s 1980s graphics cards.
- All four Truevision extensions - .tga, .vda, .icb and .vst - decode identically, so renaming a .vda to .tga loses nothing.
- TGA's simple structure and optional run-length compression made it a common output for early ray tracers and paint programs.
