What is a .TRT file?
The .trt extension covers NVIDIA TensorRT inference engines, a report template format and a couple of legacy tools.
NVIDIA TensorRT engine
- What it is
- A serialised NVIDIA TensorRT engine, also called a plan file: a neural network compiled ahead of time into an optimised inference graph with its kernels, precision and memory layout already chosen. That choice is made for one specific GPU and TensorRT version, which is why an engine will not load on another machine and why it is far larger than the ONNX model it came from. Analyser identifies it and reads what the plan header exposes.

- An engine is binary and carries the TensorRT plan magic tag in its header.
Report template
- What it is
- A report template - text laid out as blocks delimited by <% and %> tags, the shape the Team Sports Scheduling System uses for its printed reports. Analyser opens it as text.

Legacy translation or recording
- What it is
- Two obsolete uses: a DLocalizer translation table, and a video recording from an early free-to-air receiver with PVR capability. Analyser identifies what the bytes support.

- .TRT is an identification-grade format: Analyser recognises it from its bytes and decodes the header metadata it carries, rather than opening it in a full viewer. Formats that do get a full viewer are marked "Full" on the formats page.
